Tanya joins the Alliance after more than two decades in the charitable, professional association and technology not-for-profit sectors.
Prior to her role as Director of Communications and Engagement at the Alliance, Tanya held several positions at the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA), including vice-president of community investment, policy and advocacy. Her leadership in member engagement, communications, and internet policy, and her instrumental role in refreshing CIRA’s culture demonstrate her commitment to advancing the digital landscape.
Tanya has also held communications and marketing roles at the Canadian Council of Human Resources Associations (which oversaw the national standards for the CHRP designation), and at Humane Canada. Tanya has also worked as a French and English print and radio journalist. A lifelong volunteer, Tanya has long been a professional mentor to new Canadians through the Ottawa Community Immigrant Services Organization, and hopes to continue this work in her new hometown of Fredericton, New Brunswick.
Tanya has a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University, and a Certificate in Strategic Change and Communications from the University of Ottawa.
