Benjamin Reid is the Cybersecurity Manager for the Digital Research Alliance of Canada. Through this role, Benjamin, in partnership with other members of the Alliance Federation community collectively lead the delivery of a comprehensive information security strategy. The goal is to optimize the security posture of the Alliance Federation. Prior to joining the Alliance, Benjamin worked on the Advanced Research Computing Team at Simon Fraser University planning and delivering the cybersecurity program, the Medium-Term Action Plan. This work will continue into the comprehensive program, the Long-Term Action Plan.
Benjamin has over 16 years of experience working in Information Technology in various roles (systems, security, networking, programming, project management) and organizations (private, public, and non-profit sectors). Benjamin holds a Master’s in Business Administration specializing in the Management of Technology, a Bachelor of Computer Information Systems, and is a Certified Project Management Professional.
