Daniel Manrique-Castano received his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the Ruhr-Universität Bochum in Germany and completed postdoctoral training at Université Laval in Québec. His research interests include brain injury, glial reactivity, and spatial data analysis. He joined the Alliance as a curator and community engagement officer in pursuit of his professional goals of promoting open and reproducible science. He has experience in handling and analyzing biomedical data, as well as skills in R and Python programming, statistical modelling, and image analysis. He is eager to serve the research community to develop transparent and efficient scientific reporting. Daniel enjoys writing, visiting ancient ruins and historical sites, reading historical novels, and is an excellent salsa dancer.
