Director, Operations
Patrick Mann joins the Alliance with a breadth of experience both in the academic and commercial fields as an IT and computational science specialist. He was previously a professor and researcher in the computational sciences, consultant for high performance computing applications, system administrator and director of computing systems at a small northern university and CTO of an IT/telecomms non-profit organization which operates the R&E ORAN for Alberta. More recently, Patrick provided contracted DevOps services with Amazon Web Services expertise, and acted as IT Director for a partnership between CMC and IPAC. He also managed operations for the WestGrid high performance computing consortium and now manages operations for the Alliance.
