Stephen joins the Alliance after over 15 years growing economic development and foreign direct investments in both the public and private sector.
Most recently, Stephen was the Director of Economic Investment & Strategic Partnerships for the City of Surrey in British Columbia where he facilitated over CAD 1 billion in investment into the municipality while building strong international partnerships with Canada’s priority markets. Stephen has a passion for developing data-driven strategies and has authored multiple strategies including the BC Clean Economy Report as well as the City of Surrey’s Economic Strategies in 2017 and 2024.
Stephen received his Bachelors of Science in Cell Biology & Genetics from the University of British Columbia as well as a Masters of Business Administration and a Masters of Science in Strategic Planning from the Edinburgh Business School. In his spare time, Stephen is an avid travel and street photographer.
