As the Steering Group for the proposal submitted in response to the Canadian government's call for a new not-for-profit organization to support the compute, data and software needs of Canadian researchers, we are pleased to announce the Minister of Science has approved the funding for the organization described in the proposal. The announcement, with new details, can be found here.
We are in the process of incorporating the new organization and will announce the members of the applicant board shortly. The applicant board will engage with the community in the fall of 2019 to finalize details for the governance of the new organization. More details on this work will be shared through this website and email communications. We look forward to continued engagement with the community to build a researcher-focused digital research infrastructure ecosystem for Canadian researchers.
Sincerely,
Proposal Steering Group
