Caitilín’s background is in Eastern European Studies and Library and Information Science. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Information from the University of Toronto, and is a professional librarian with experience in law and government, including the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, and the Council of the European Union in Brussels. She also holds certificates in Ukrainian Studies from National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, and has served as an International Election Observer in Zhytomyr, Ukraine. Her volunteer work includes contributing to Ukraine Calling, a podcast produced by Kyiv-based Hromadske Radio. Her interests include media, democracy, elections, and civil society in Eastern Europe and Russia. She is bilingual in English and French, and studies Ukrainian, Russian, and German.
