The Digital Research Alliance of Canada (the Alliance) Preservation Expert Group (PEG) is currently seeking applications for new membership, including a new co-chair, for flexible terms beginning summer 2023 and extending until 2025.

The PEG is a community of practice and advisory group working to promote and develop digital preservation best practices and resources in partnership with the larger RDM Network of Experts and the Alliance. The group currently includes digital preservation practitioners, librarians, archivists and developers working at data repositories and academic institutions across Canada.

The PEG welcomes active participation from early career to seasoned professionals engaged in preservation activities for organizations or community groups. The PEG offers members a supportive forum for discussion and information sharing around preservation topics and tools, presentations from guest speakers, events and workshops, and the ability to contribute to group activities and the development of shared goals and objectives.

Please submit your application through the expression of interest form. If you are interested in applying for the co-chair position, please indicate that in the text of your response. Applications will be reviewed as they are received and will remain open until the co-chair position is filled.
